Attorney Profiles
Both Susan Pinkston and Barbara Carraway Dogan received their core training in mediation from Harvard University’ Program of Instruction for Lawyers. They have further enhanced their mediation skills by completing mediation workshops offered by the Council of Better Business Bureaus and the U.S. Postal Service, the Mississippi Bar and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
In addition to mediating, Susan and Barbara frequently serve on arbitration panels. Both have served as volunteer arbitrators for the Resolution of Fee Disputes Committee of the Mississippi Bar and for the Better Business Bureaus’ AutoLine Program. They both regularly are chosen as arbitrators for the National Association of Security Dealers. Susan is classified as a public arbitrator, and Barbara is classified as an industry arbitrator since she has worked in the financial and insurance industries.

Susan G. Pinkston was graduated from the University of Mississippi with majors in psychology, sociology, and English and received her law degree from Mississippi College’s School of Law. She has been in private law practice since graduation from law school. Susan became interested in alternative and dispute resolution as it was a natural fit with her psychology background.

Barbara Carraway Dogan was graduated from Mississippi State University, earning her Bachelor of Science with a major in finance, and received her law degree from the University of Mississippi Law School. Since graduating from law school, Barbara has practiced law, been employed by a major investment firm and insurance firm.
